It’s an honour — and something of a poetic justice — to see Quinta do Griffo now among the places chosen by Patrice Besse. Their “Séjourner” collection celebrates houses that live as they are, unpolished, human, and beautiful in their sincerity.

The words that describe the Griffo on their site feel uncannily true:
“Dressed in white beneath her Roman tiles, the house follows the contours of the hill in a succession of levels and adjoining structures… forming inner courtyards, suspended gardens, and shaded terraces — a journey through spaces that invite both curiosity and calm.”

That, in essence, is what we hoped to achieve: a house that feels found rather than staged. So we read their text with quiet gratitude — for seeing us, and for reminding us that hospitality can still have meaning.
